Mike Merritt is a Florida Native who grew up in Everglades City, Florida. He is a third generation fisherman who has been fishing since age 6 and running his own boat since age 13. Not only will you enjoy fishing and catching a variety of fish with Captain Merritt, but you will also get to know the history of the Florida Everglades.

The boat is a top of the line Hewes Light Tackle 20’ Flats Skiff with an 8’ wide beam for plenty of casting deck. Captain Mike Merritt’s Native Guide Service will provide all necessary gear including both artificial tackle and live bait to ensure a variety of fishing techniques to catch the big ones.
